This 18 × 24” drawing depicts a night scene of an ethereal young man under the moonlight with two parrots on his shoulder. He wears a shroud of glittering white, which matches the white plumage of his mysterious companions. Their coats reflect pale blues and pinks from the full moon, adding to allure of this scene. The boy looks longingly into the distance, one of the birds seemingly whispering into his ear. What information could they be exchanging?

Although the original statues stands as the ideal of male beauty, this drawing takes a more introspective approach by focusing solely on the intensely pensive expression the young hero bears.
